The Byrds – Live At Lincoln
My LP #1 = no label (country and year unknown) (picture disc)
My LP #2 = Straight Records STR (unknown country 1971) (regular disc)
Lincoln Folk Festival, England, U.K. - July 24, 1971
Roger McGuinn, Clarence White, Gene Parsons, Skip Battin
Note: The 1971 Lincoln Festival featured The Byrds, James Taylor, Tom Paxton, Buffy St. Marie, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Tim Hardin, Pentangle, The Incredible String Band, Sandy Denny, Steeleye Span, Ralph Mctell, Dave Swarbrick with Martin Carthy, and Dion.
The Byrds were booked to play an acoustic set at Lincoln, because of the fantastic way they went down playing acoustic at the previous year's Bath Festival. However, they again stole the show by being the only band at Lincoln to play an electric set.

ReplyDeleteFor once in my life I'm sorry I have to contradict you Rockind-Byrd. I have a low quality recording of Sandy Denny and the Happy Blunderers from the festival and that is an electric set for sure! As I would like to listen to the Byrds' show, can you please give a link?
