ReplyDeleteHad that one, together with about a dozen others from the infamous Magic Collection semi-bootlegs. Funny/sad story: THIS was my first Byrds record. And despite the music being obvious crap, even through these ridiculous recordings you could hear the majestic beauty of "Chestnut Mare".
ReplyDeleteThe next day I picked up the U.K. "Very Best Of The Byrds", then in short order started to pick up all albums by the band. Yes, the cheap imitations led me to the real thing and being a fan.
