Born in Scotland in 1948, Murray MacLauchlan emigrated to Canada when he was 5 and became a Canadian citizen.

Folk singer, pilot, songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and harmonica player, McLauchlan also hosted the highly rated CBC Radio program “Swinging On A Star” from 1989 to 1994.
