Kentucky Colonels – The Chronological Classics 1952-1962

Kentucky Colonels – The Chronological Classics 1952-1962

Warped Records 5970 (USA 2014)

Although credited here to The Kentucky Colonels, these are actually tracks by their previous incarnation as The Country Boys (on their own, and as the backing band on 6 tracks – see hereunder). The various lineups are detailed on the booklet.

Again, the original version of this “download only” compilation was wrongly titled “The Chronogical Classics” (without the “lo” syllable). I have corrected that and some tracks titles, as well as the artwork.

The Byrds – Live Radio & TV 1965 & 1967

The Byrds – Live Radio & TV 1965 & 1967

Tracks 1-7: Jim McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Michael Clarke, Chris Hillman

Tracks 8-22: Jim McGuinn, David Crosby, Michael Clarke, Chris Hillman

It is strange that there’s no complete concert available anywhere, by the original 5-men or 4-men Byrds from 1965 to 1967 (except for their 8-song performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967 which is officially available). All we have is TV and radio live performances, but no complete concert. So here’s a compilation of some of their appearances on these medias.
