ReplyDeleteCool compilation idea. Thanks very much.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great compilation, even if 2 of the songs (For Free and Laughing) are not Byrds songs and a third (Triad) was initially rejected by the Byrds. But these songs and performances are great. Any information on the date/venue of each performance? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe idea was to compile songs once played or recorded by The Byrds. If one follows you, Turn Turn Turn should also not be included.
ReplyDeleteI looked at my copy of the late 70's reunion album and of course you are correct, For Free and Laughing are on that album. I was stuck in the 60's (as usual), thinking of Crosby's original time with the Byrds. Any info you have on the date/venue of the songs would still be appreciated. The Turn Turn Turn is maybe my favorite song in the whole compilation so I'm thrilled it is included!

Thank you! Your copy of Los Olivos is way better than my audience copy. Maybe you could post that show someday?
ReplyDeleteLos Olivos has been posted already in 2008, but of course the link is dead. I will refresh it soon.
