ReplyDeleteThanks very much for this. I have had a tape for years w/ just Chestnut Mare and Eight Miles High ( an edited version ), two of the songs that were picked from the studio session to play on the "Beat Club" show ( show # 67 ) that was broadcast on May 22 , 1971. Of the two versions of Chestnut Mare here , the second take was used on the "Beat Club" broadcast. Soldier's Joy / Black Mountain Rag were also on the original broadcast. The TV announcer talks, in German obviously, over the first few seconds of each song on the broadcast tape.
ReplyDeleteSo You Want To Be A Rock n Roll Star was also shown on a later broadcast of the show ( # 81 ) on Oct. 28, 1972. Mr. Tambourine Man, from the original sessions, has, to this day, not been broadcast. Hope this helps, Mike
