Except for a couple of regulars who post comments from time to time, and a regular who asks for reups every week, there hasn’t been any comments for a rather long time.
So it seems the interest in this blog has dropped radically. Consequently, I will put the blog on pause for the time being.
Reups will still be fulfilled when time permits.
Thanks to the regular visitors and sporadic posters of comments.
I check your blog every day! Thanks for creating access to so much great music.
ReplyDeleteRB, So do I. I greatly appreciate all you publish. It warms my spirit in the snow!
ReplyDeleteI was at the Roundhouse for the Byrds with Gram Parsons. Please up that set and the East Coast set, when it suits you.It is your site to pause when you wish. I will be happy when you upload more music from my youth. Robin
Great blog - hope you continue to post
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame. Always happy to see what you come up with. But I understand, it certainly takes a lot of time to upkeep this.
ReplyDeleteMy instant reaction was a loud "OH NO" !!! .... such sad news ! I check every morning for new posts and have a longggg list of shows I would like to get from you down the line. As I say in nearly every post, I really appreciate all the wonderful shows you post and look forward to seeing the blog return. Thank you, Mike
ReplyDeleteA pause in new articles doesn't mean I'll stop fulfilling requests.
DeleteOhhhhh ... GREAT NEWS ,thanks very much for telling me that !! As always, I really appreciate the access to all these Byrds and related shows.
DeleteWould it be of help if more folks were aware of the blog and all the great shows you offer ? There are appox. 5 or 6 Byrds pages on FaceBook as well as many others dedicated to Chris Hillman, Gene Clark and other individual memebers of the band. I would NEVER post on these FB pages about the blog w/out your permission but I would think it might create more traffic on the blog. Just a tought. Please let me know what you think. I would be glad to help. Mike
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer! Just as I was about to ask for a re-up of a Gram Parsons show from Upper Darby in 1973. But there you; I will of course accept your decision!

I have loved some of your Burritos posts & Parsons too. I missed getting that GP Philly 73 show too. He was so great. Thank you for all the good old tunes!
ReplyDeleteNMP, the GP & Fallen Angels 1973 Philadelphia concert has just been updated.
DeleteI follow your blog regularly. It is difficult, however, to download from your site because of Zippyshare. It is simply too full of junk for me to feel comfortable using it. So if you switched from Zippy I think you might see a lot more interest in your posts. I'm a huge Byrds/Burritos fan and I think there are a lot of us out there. Please keep up the posting but change how we can access the music.
ReplyDeleteI check your site all the time...sorry I don't let you know...You've given me a lot of great muisic..thank you
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the work you've done so far. Hope you will be back soon.
ReplyDeleteAlan R: You can avoid Zippy's junk by installing AdBlock Plus and then right clicking on the download button and then "save as" instead of just clicking on the button. I never have pop-ups or junk when using Zippy.
ReplyDeleteYes, I just tried it with the right click and avoided the nasty stuff. Thank you. Now I urge you to keep posting because lots of us are interested!
ReplyDeletePeople having issues with zippy..I don't get it. Use an adblock, don't hit anything other than download, do some trial-and error before just straightaway complaining about it. Work it out. Zippy is just fine.
